The Color Historic Moore County Self-Guided Tour
The goal of the "Color Historic Moore County" project is to bring awareness to the rich architectural heritage in Moore County, NC. These twenty-four locations are structures and sites ranging from grand Queen Anne's and large public buildings to modest commercial structures and sleek midcentury residences, spanning almost six decades of Moore County's historic architecture. We hope you enjoy learning about the buildings that make our communities so unique.
IMPORTANT: How to take the tour:
We encourage you to visit each site to fully understand the context and environment. However, you will be able to enjoy the tour from your phone or laptop.
Many of these properties are private residences. View the buildings from public right-of-way: sidewalks and roads. Do not enter private property!
Please be discreet when viewing and photographing to avoid any disturbance to the occupants or owners.
Feel free to enter businesses open to the public during operating hours. Be sure to mention that you found them through the PPG self-guided tour!
